Pioneer Services' financial education program named one of nation's best
APEX Awards recognize financial literary efforts to assist military families

Kansas City, Mo. (06-04-15) Pioneer Services is proud to have recently received an Award of Excellence for its Financial Education Program for Military Families in the 2015 APEX Awards for Publication Excellence. The recognition was given in the "Education and Training" category.

The company has created and maintained a comprehensive, free financial education program as part of its core services to military families for nearly two decades. This includes free printed publications; books; printed and electronic newsletters; a Web-based learning center with a blog and electronic collaterals; and video and audio podcasts. A number of new initiatives were implemented in 2014 including a Military Financial Literacy Survey in partnership with the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC), an on-line budgeting tool, and promotion of a 10-point Military Financial Bill of Rights.

"This award is a tribute to the quality of our on-going financial education efforts," said Steve Meads, president of Pioneer Services. "But the real winners are those military families that we've been able to help better manage their short and long-term finances using these helpful resources."

The APEX Awards are an annual competition for businesses and non-profits, writers, editors, and publications staff to recognize and acknowledge some of the best communications materials in the country.
