MidCountry Financial wins Better Business Bureau Award for Marketplace Ethics.
Company recognized for impressive business practices.

MACON, Ga.  (05-23-11) The Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Central Georgia honored MidCountry Financial Corp. with a Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics during a luncheon and presentation ceremony May 19, 2011. The awards promote and recognize companies that display a high level of ethical business practices, policies, and procedures.

"This is a testament to our team members and the work they do every day," said Bob Hatcher, President and CEO of MidCountry Financial Corp. "They focus on doing the right things, the right way, all while staying true to our corporate values. MidCountry Financial was selected as the winner in the large company category (more than 100 employees). The other winners included Gottwals Books (small company category) and MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union, which won in the medium-sized category.

"[These businesses were] recognized in the community because they stand out," said Kelvin Collins, BBB president and CEO, during the luncheon. "When we get a recommendation from someone in the community, it's an encouragement for us. We love to hear that businesses are doing good things."
