Heights Finance CEO receives industry's most prestigious award.

PEORIA, Ill. (11-10-09) Tim Stanley, president and chief executive officer of Heights Finance Corporation, was recently honored with the American Financial Services Association's (AFSA) Distinguished Service Award (DSA). Stanley received his DSA during AFSA's 93rd Annual Meeting held at the end of October in Washington, DC.

The consumer finance industry's highest honor, the DSA is given to individuals who have contributed significantly to the industry's growth on a national level, advanced its objectives and quality, and raised its image.

"This is a tremendous honor not only for me, but for all of those in AFSA who have inspired me along the way," said Stanley. "Our shared passion for our industry and our customers has led to numerous successes even in these challenging times. I thank them for their partnership, and their friendship, throughout the years."

During 2007 - 2009, Stanley chaired the AFSA Independents Section Advisory Board, and he currently serves on AFSA's Executive Committee and Board of Directors. He is both an instructor and a director for the National Institute for Consumer Credit Management at Marquette University.

Stanley joined Heights Finance in 2003, and leads 440 team members who work in more than 100 offices in six states. In addition to his current position as president and CEO of Heights, he also serves as executive vice president of MidCountry Financial Corporation and MidCountry Bank, Heights' parent and sister companies, respectively.
