Jerry A. Newby has 17 years of experience with regional property/casualty insurance, life insurance, and financial services. Newby has served as President of the Alabama Farmers Federation, and President, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Alfa Insurance Companies since 1998. Prior to his election as President of Alfa, Newby served as Vice President and as a member of the Board of Directors. In addition to his involvement with Alfa, he is a partner in a family farm operation which is located on 8,000 acres in the Tennessee Valley area of northern Alabama and parts of south-central Tennessee. Newby has served as a member of the Alabama State Board of Agriculture and Industries, member of the Board of Cotton, Inc., delegate to the National Cotton Council, and Secretary of Southern Cotton Growers.
