Management TeamCharles G. Davis. Charles G. Davis is the Executive Vice President of Operations and Administration at MidCountry Financial, having joined MidCountry in this position in July of 2002. Mr. Davis began his banking career with First Liberty Bank in 1976 and was its Executive Vice President of Operations and Administration at the time of its merger with BB&T in 1999. During his 24 years with First Liberty, Mr. Davis served in various executive positions. Larry D. Flowers. Larry D. Flowers is the Chief Operating Officer of MidCountry Financial Corp. and President and Chief Operating Officer of MidCountry Bank, having joined MidCountry in this position in January of 2005. Mr. Flowers spent approximately 15 years with the Citicorp organization, where he was responsible for state and regional activities for commercial, consumer, mortgage, investment, and insurance products and services in several locations. In 1993, he joined First Liberty Bank as Executive Vice President in charge of Retail and Community banking. Following the sale of First Liberty Bank to BB&T in 2000, he became President of BB&T’s Mid-South Region, which he held for 3 ˝ years. In late 2003, he became President of Kislak National Bank in Miami Lakes, Florida, which was sold in early 2005. David L. Hall. David L. Hall is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of MidCountry Financial. Mr. Hall was Vice President of Special Projects for Alfa Corporation from 2000 through 2003. Mr. Hall served as a member of the Alabama Governor’s Commission on Education Spending in 2003. Mr. Hall was also Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of First Liberty Financial Corp. from 1988 through 1999. Mr. Hall was Vice President and Controller of First Liberty from 1985 to 1988. Robert F. Hatcher. Robert F. Hatcher. Robert F. Hatcher is the President/Chief Executive Officer and Director of MidCountry. Mr. Hatcher was the President of First Liberty Bank from 1988 until 1990 and President and Chief Executive Officer of that bank and its parent, First Liberty Financial Corp., from 1990 until its merger with BB&T in 2000. Prior to joining First Liberty, Mr. Hatcher served in various positions with Trust Company Bank (now SunTrust) for 27 years. Throughout his career in the banking industry, Mr. Hatcher has been extensively involved in numerous civic organizations. He was appointed by the governor as Co-Chairman of the Commission for a New Georgia, and as member of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. He is also a Trustee of Mercer University. Additionally, he serves on the boards of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the Georgia Public Policy Foundation and NewTown Macon. He is an honorary Lifetime Member of the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, which named him its 2005 Citizen of the Year. Richard A. Hills, Jr. Richard A. Hills, Jr. is Executive Vice President and General Counsel of MidCountry and its Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining MidCountry in October 2002, he was of counsel to the law firm of Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge & Rice, PLLC, and continues to serve the firm on a part-time basis. Before joining Womble Carlyle in June 2000, Mr. Hills was Executive Vice President and General Counsel and Secretary of First Liberty Financial Corp. and its subsidiary, First Liberty Bank, for 12 years. Thomas H. Holcom. Thomas H. Holcom is President and Chief Executive Officer of Pioneer Financial Services, a subsidiary of MidCountry Financial Corp., and President of the Military Banking Division of MidCountry Bank. Mr. Holcom began his financial services career in 1966 at First National Bank of Kansas City, where he worked until 1985, serving as executive vice president. Over the last two decades as President of Pioneer Financial Services, Mr. Holcom spearheaded tremendous growth and built a company culture that has twice received national acclaim. He championed many initiatives aimed at helping military families around the world through financial education, military benefits, family support, and services that solve very unique problems. Mr. Holcom is a founding member of Angel Flight America, Trustee to Park University and currently serves on the boards of Business Executives for National Security and Truman Medical Centers Charitable Foundation and serves as president of the Command General Staff College. In 2006 he received the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Corporate Responsibility in the Midwest region. Robert E. Leas. Robert E. "Chip" Leas, as the founder of OFC Capital, has been a leader and innovator in small business financing for over 25 years. As the current CEO at OFC, Chip has been recognized by clients and peers alike for his ability to spot trends and develop financing options that break new ground. A past president and frequent officer of several key industry organizations and frequently quoted speaker and trial expert, Chip considers his greatest accomplishment an ability to help clients do more for their own businesses. Marian M. Mackle. Marian M. Mackle is the Executive Vice President, Risk Management of MidCountry Financial. Ms. Mackle served in similar positions for a cumulative period of 7 years at First Liberty Bank and Decatur Federal Savings and Loan Association in Atlanta. Ms. Mackle spent 14 years with the Office of Thrift Supervision in Atlanta serving in various capacities including Assistant Director of the Southeast Region. Lee B. Murphey. Lee B. Murphey is Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of MidCountry Financial. Mr. Murphey was Senior Vice President, Senior Credit Officer for Branch Banking and Trust Company from November 1999 until April, 2004. Prior to that, Mr. Murphey served as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of First Liberty Financial Corp. from 1991 until 1999. Mr. Murphey has also been involved with numerous professional and civic organizations. For example, he served as the International Chairman of RMA – The Risk Management Association, (The International Association of Lending and Credit Risk Professionals), during 1998 – 1999. He is also a past chairman of the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce and past chairman of the Macon Economic Development Commission. Julie Schaller. Julie Schaller is Senior Vice President of MidCountry Financial Corp. Prior to becoming a member of the executive team of MidCountry, Julie served as the Chief People Officer of Pioneer Services for over 14 years. During her tenure there, she led the team to create Pioneer’s award winning ELITE recognition system, which is the core driver of the company culture. Under Julie’s leadership, Pioneer Services was twice recognized as the 18th Best Medium Size Company to Work for in America by the Society of Human Resource Management. The company was also one of 15 companies to receive the prestigious Department of Defense Freedom Award that recognizes companies that show extraordinary support for their associates who serve in the National Guard and Reserves. She is actively involved in the Central Exchange, Society for Human Resource Management, UMKC Bloch School Mentor and the Employer Support of Guard and Reserve committee for the state of Missouri. Timothy L. Stanley. Timothy L. Stanley is Executive Vice President, MidCountry Financial Corp. and MidCountry Bank/President and Chief Executive Officer, Heights Finance Corporation. Before assuming his current position in April 2003, Mr. Stanley served as Corporate Vice President, Global Learning and Development for Wells Fargo Financial, Inc. While at Wells Fargo, he pioneered a new initiative for formalized, consistent education and leadership development. In 1980, Mr. Stanley began his career in consumer finance in various branch positions at Wells Fargo before a promotion to Vice President, Marketing and Client Relations, Technology (1992 - 1999) and Senior Vice President, Technology (1999 – 2001) where he also served as the acting president of Wells Fargo’s software sales and service subsidiary, Allied Business Systems (1999 – 2001). |
